Place to Go Back to

“…Another summer day
Has come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home

May be surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home…”

I’m sure everyone have something to go back to, in the form of places or persons, it doesn’t matter. Like what Bublé sang in his song, even when you’re enjoying a sunny white beach in Bali, or wandering in the temples of Angkor Wat, the feeling of going back home could suddenly comes to you. You’ll starting to see something that remind you of home. You’ll hear something that sounds familiar in your mother language…But it’s not something bad to have that feeling.

It’s important to have a place to go back to, where you can share your stories, ease your fatigue, turn down the alertness while you’re on the road. What’s a traveler without a “home”, after all?

What is your “home”?

Find it, and return to it from time to time…

Returning Home by Benjamin Williams Leader

If not, then you’re just wandering around… Maybe you still haven’t found what you’re looking for in a “home”?

  1. The first time I was (voluntarily) homeless, in the sense of giving up my apartment and living out of my backpack, I loved it. Same for the second time. But the third time, this time, is after breaking up with the girlfriend. I don’t mind not having an address, but I miss the home that the relationship used to be. There is more than one way to feel “at home” I’ve learned!
